Our CEO, Jay Sharman, recently sat down with Ann Handley, Chief Content Officer of MarketingProfs, to talk about the state of content marketing in 2018.

They tackled the big questions: how do you balance quantity and quality? Why is writing still foremost, even in a video-driven world? And how can small non-profits create big content marketing programs without the time and money of larger shops?

“Less is often more with content. If producing one great post a week is all you can manage? Do that! When you’ve conditioned your audience to miss you, that’s a fantastic place to be.”

“There are some non-profits that really are killing it. That really are embracing the idea. One of my favorites is the Humane Society Silicon Valley – tiny pet shelter in Mill Valley, California. They don’t have a huge budget…yet they have done a tremendous job about thinking about what their bigger story is…and linking it to actual action.”
